Reply:Go for C++. Clinton G is right, the PHP or ASP crowd is biased and I vote for Asp.net because it has a better development environment if you run Windows.

Reply:I prefer PHP over ASP. Other languages you may consider learning include Java, Ruby, Lisp, and C#. These are all very different and serve very different purposes as far as languages go.
